Queensland Government Directives and domestic holidays
You should be aware that the current directives of the Queensland Government, through Queensland Health, have effectively shut down the domestic holiday market for the foreseeable future, including Easter. While there are some exemptions for the “Home Confinement Direction” and “Non-Essential Business Activity” (see website), there is no ambiguity: no possibility or loopholes for Queensland holidays at this time, not for customers nor for service providers. This is another terrible blow for our industry but it is not something that can be changed.
Relevant Government resources links for the tourism industry
We are very pleased that the Queensland Government through DITID has now established a ‘single source of truth’ for all relevant government information for the tourism industry. It will be constantly updated and will be very useful for all business operators.
This web link will take you to a constantly updated QLD Government resource list.
