Thanks to the RACQ People’s Choice category of the Queensland Tourism Awards (QTA), you can have your say on your favourite tourism experience, service or accommodation and go into the draw to win a $5000 RACQ Travel Voucher.
QTIC Chief Executive Daniel Gschwind said the more than 175 QTA entrants were outstanding products demonstrating why Queensland’s tourism industry continues to thrive in such a competitive global market.
“After its successful introduction in 2017, we’re thrilled to be partnering with RACQ again for the People’s Choice category to see which operators the public believe are Queensland’s best,” he said.
“It’s interesting to see who visitors and Queenslanders choose as their favourites and how that compares to the rest of the Awards’ judging by industry experts.”
Mr Gschwind said the Queensland Tourism Awards was about celebrating the outstanding achievements of our state’s tourism operators which supports over a hundred thousand jobs and contributes to the $25 billion industry.
The RACQ People’s Choice category features two awards – the RACQ People’s Choice Award for experience or service and the RACQ People’s Choice Award for accommodation.
RACQ spokesperson Kirsty Clinton said Queenslanders would be asked to vote for their favourite experience, service or accommodation to crown the State’s best of the best.
“As a century-old Queensland brand, we’re excited to again be involved with the Queensland Tourism Awards and be able to help recognise some of the best operators in our state,” Ms Clinton said.
“As Queenslanders, we’re lucky enough to share our state with some of the most beautiful natural attractions and most sought-after tourism destinations in the world.”
Voting for the RACQ People’s Choice category opens at on Tuesday 28 August 2018 and closes at 5pm on Monday 24 September 2018.

The RACQ People’s Choice category winners will be presented at the Queensland Tourism Awards Gala Celebration on Friday 16 November 2018 at The Star Gold Coast.
